About the Course
Merion Golf Club East Course is a parkland golf course in Pennsylvania, USA, designed by Hugh Wilson in 1912. It features 18 holes, par 70, at 6,846 yards. One of the shortest and most strategic courses in major championship golf, Merion East has hosted five US Opens. Its wicker basket flagsticks, white-faced bunkers, and compact routing through the Philadelphia mainline are unmistakable. Ben Hogan's famous 1-iron was struck here.
